Sometimes I'm not looking my best, or even feeling my best, but I have to get out there in the world. While, of course, beauty comes from within, sometimes I need a little help from without! On such days, I'm happier than ever to have my go-to pieces, like a beautiful bracelet and other well-chosen things I found while looking at jewelry at www.goldsea24.com. I've got my feel-good jewelry that I put on, things that are classic and go with everything, and that can be dressed up or dressed down. With them, I feel great even if I didn't start out feeling that way. So even if I'm struggling to show my beauty from the inside, with such help I can muster up some shine through adornments! Of course, nothing can replace the beauty of a healthy glow. I was reading recently how this can be attained, of course, not only through healthy eating and exercise, but also meditation. It apparently even repairs synapses. There have been so many studies done on it now that the evidence is really mounting. Also, being relaxed enhances our beauty. Just think, being worn and haggard doesn't exactly make us glow! But feeling at peace and more present makes our energy more warm and attractive to others. Then that jewelry really zings!

Is New Beauty Ad Racist?

Some people are questioning whether a new beauty ad from for their new VisibleCare body wash is racist. The ad promises users "visibly more beautiful skin." It's unfortunate that this wording is referring to a product that is meant to lighten the skin significantly in just one week.

The ad features close-up pictures of skin taken before and after using the new wash. It shows three women, one black, one Latina and one white, standing next to each other, and visually communicates that if you have dark skin before you use VisibleCare, you'll have pale skin afterward, not to mention be thinner and have blonde hair. It is hard to decide whether the ad is more upsetting because of it's racist undertones, or because of the fact that none of the people who approved the ad thought there was anything wrong with it.
