Wild, wild summer hair
Posted on 03 July 2007

Mild weather, without much heat and with no excess humidity in the air is perfect for all hair styles – too bad it rains in summer and fall, snows and is windy in winter and it's bloody hot in summer. This is just my recent frustration talking, since I gave up my hairstyle appliances when the thermometer went over 90.
Now I do my in a controlled wild style (very Shakira like), which looks good even when my roots start sweating. I also discussed this with my friends, and they all agree – there isn't a hair spray strong enough to keep your tresses looking runway in this weather!
My new hair science works well for all hair styles, requires absolutely no special hair knowledge or appliances, and best of all – you can do it before you go to sleep, so this is a real time saver!
Here's how you do it: wash your hair and let it dry up a bit, then apply some silicone based hair protectant to hair ends (like Avon Dry Ends serum). This is an unavoidable step because wild hair will look cheap and damaged with a lot of split ends and frizzies.
Let it dry some more, when it's just a bit moist take a big gulp of hair mousse (like Herbal Essences Body Envy), turn your head upside down and scrunch the product in. Now let your hair dry.
If you plan to wear it like it is, tame it down a bit if necessary, but this hair styling is actually great for ponytails, updos or buns, since it gives your hair extra body. My favorite 'I overslept and hit the snooze twice' hairstyle is this hair pinned up with two chopsticks (well, not actually chopsticks, they are called hair sticks). Although it sounds messy, it's in fact very romantic and chic.
