Wear red on Friday – support the fight against AIDS!
Posted on 29 November 2006

A fashionista in me is really happy because red is IN at the moment! Not only does it make you look as cheerful and young as possible, but it can also make a point. How you might ask? Well, one of my favorite charities, NetAid, which fights all things connected to poverty, is doing a big Ribbon Mosaic action to help stop AIDS:
"Wear red on World AIDS Day, December 1, and join the Red Ribbon of Hope. Take a photo of yourself, your family, your friends, and your classmates wearing red using your cell phone, webcam, or digital camera. Upload your photo below and it will be added to a national Red Ribbon of Hope, representing hundreds of individuals from across the U.S. who care about this issue and want to help stop the spread of the pandemic. This red ribbon will be sent to the White House, with a clear message to the President: Help us STOP AIDS today."
Please join the action and send your photo, those people working hard at NetAid will surely appreciate it!
If you're in doubt what to put on, check out my post about the Red Fashion Trend over at Busy With Style. And if you're in doubt to even participate, remember that you're outfit will hopefully be seen in the White House, displayed on thousands of websites and in newspaper too! That's a really easy and simple way to show you are a trendy fashion chick as well as generous and good hearted!
In case you're wondering, I already painted my nails red, now I only have to decide which of my dozen-or-so red tops to sport and I'm ready for the photo session.
