Virtual nails

If you read my rant about nail breakage, and my rave about acrylic nails, then you must know I'm a firm believer in fake nails. Not only do they look so much better than my real ones, but they are also low maintenance, with nail-polish lasting for ages, no chipping or fading. The acrylic nails are also very durable; the only thing you have to do is to get a fill-in every three to four weeks.

But, if you are not ready to spend initial (for someone considerable) amount of $$, or just don't want to sit at the salon for hours, why not try Virtual Nails? These are an invention of the Dashing Diva salon, and I have heard many good reviews about the nails. Here's what virtual nails are:

"With Virtual Nails™ there's no need for fill-ins either. After 2 weeks of wear, you just soak them off for 10-15 minutes in our special 'Magic Melt' solution (a special combination of acetone and lanolin) and put on a whole new set ... or go back to sporting your own natural nails. Now there's a proposition that resonates with nail biters, not to mention all you "toe-in-the-water" types."

They really look as if they're growing out of my nail bed. They're perfectly matched to my nail, seem incredibly strong - I couldn't be more thrilled. It's obvious that they're FAR better for my nails than acrylics. My nail tecnhician said that they will last for at least 2 weeks, but can last for up to a month. They're far lighter than acrylics and look so soo natural. I'm a chronic nail biter and I think that this might be the solution that will keep me from biting forever. And at $30 the price is right too!
