Telegraph suggests that you might want to ditch the too-casual old slacks style and go for something a bit more chic, in order to get better service, even if you don't intend to fly first class.
Avoid limp track-suit bottoms, skintight jeans - in fact, anything too tight - and leave the flesh-baring looks until you hit the beach. Remember that those in the know say that a passenger who looks chic and well-groomed is far more likely to get an upgrade than a rucksack-toting hippie with bird's-nest hair., says Telegraph's Hilary Alexander.
Along with some other valuable information (pack a pashmina and a some trial size cosmetics with a pair of sunglasses), Hilary concludes her article, and I'd like to add: there is a perfect dress for this occasion too: a wonderful Parameter red plaid voile off-the-shoulder dress could be your best travel mate. Pair it up with some pretty ballerinas and you're ready for anything.
Oh, don't forget to pack your stuff trendy, check out the fabbest travel bag around (if packing light).
