The Versatile Q-Tip
Posted on 20 December 2007
I bring you the original multi-tasker, the humble Q-tip. Personally, I think Q-tips should be a bathroom staple, like towels and soap. You can use them for so many things, especially beauty related. Here's what I use Q-tips for on a nearly daily basis.
* Makeup application – I've used Q-tips in a pinch when I didn't have an eyeshadow applicator for whatever reason.
* Nail polish fixes – Every single time I paint my nails, I need to fix something. Dip a Q-tip in nail polish remover and run it around the edges of your nails, to clean up any areas where polish got on your skin.
* Makeup tool cleaning – Dip a Q-tip in alcohol and use it to clean eyelash curlers and the inside of your makeup kits.

* Hair dye cleanup-Well, I don't color my hair anymore (only my stylist knows for sure, heh), but when I did, if I spilled any dye on my ears, forehead, neck, etc., I'd use a Q-tip to clean up any spills.
* Makeup smudging – For a smoky eye makeup look, use your favorite eyeliner, then gently smudge with a Q-tip.
* Mascara cleanup – When my mascara lands other places besides my lashes, a Q-tip dipped in water is a great way to reach small areas for cleanup.
Any other uses you can come up with? Do tell.
'Til next time, my pretties.
