The ugly clog-sandal

In an interesting post about Kors clogs on Shoewawa, the gals tell us about shoe plagiarism.
It appears that dr.Scholls has made an 'original' Clog with leather straps, which resembles Kors model.
And the Scholls people even have the guts to call it original: Capture the singular style and blissful comfort of these unique woven dress sandals from Original Dr. Scholl's. Smooth leather upper in a huarache inspired woven style, with multiple slim straps interwoven for a great look. Heel strap with adjustable metal buckle.
Original or not, while Kors strappy-cloggy sandals are over $200, the Scholls model is under $60, so it's a see-through rip off.
But, the thing that interests me the most is: Why would anyone want to spend even $60 for shoes as ugly as that? Do you see yourself putting your fragile little foot in something so bulky and unsophisticated? I cant, so please don't.
