Sunday beauty routine: Eyelash curler is your friend
Filed in archive Weekly beauty routines on August 16, 2006
Getting ready to yet another must-go-to party involving my darling's relatives, I decided to put on my full combat outfit. And no, that does not mean I put on my khaki shorts and an army tank-top with some strapped guns as accessories. My combat outfit means: best makeup, perfume, shoes and clothes appropriate for the occasion. Why? Because I found out that's the only way to get people's respect when you know they will be giving you scrutinizing looks. If your hair, nails, clothes, makeup and accessories are perfect, they won't be able to find a thing.
As this was a barbeque birthday celebration (did I mention my darling has hundreds of relatives?), I put on my midnight blue cropped jeans, a babydoll brown top, and a pair of my recently purchased and soooo cute brown sandals with a small white bow. Nice, thank you.
From my makeup arsenal I reached for MaxFactor finest (I'm going to tell you all about it this week, testing is almost done!), and soon enough my face looked like million dollars. In the process of putting mascara on I noticed my eyelash curler and knew that I must tell you this: Get yourself one, and you'll thank me because your eyelashes will look so much better, voluminous and very feminine. The eyelash curler is a Goddess sent gift to all the gals with straight or short lashes.
If you want to curl your lashes to perfection, get your curler and heat it under the blow-dryer (don't overdue it - if the metal feels hot wait for it to cool down). Place the curler near the roots, clamp them and hold for 30 seconds. Only after you're done with curling you can apply the mascara, not before!
I've tried loads of curlers but have noticed that metal ones work and curl better than the plastic ones. If you're not in the mood for fiddling around with your blow-dryer, you can try the battery operated, self heating eyelash curlers. I never did, but if you do let me know.

These fashion advice really help us women, we need them `cause we can't live without fashion! Can't we?;))
Anyway.. I don't go out anywhere without my eyelashes curled! Without eye-shadow yes..but not without mascara. So indeed the eyelash-curler makes my daily routine easier!
