Stop sweating in private
Posted on 27 January 2007

How weird can it be to write about sweating in January? Well, I have found out (the hard way of course) that because of the indoor heating and the outdoor cold my body has started to sweat unexpectedly, with armpits being the worst sweat producers.
I talked to my friends and they have all shared the shameful truth: girls sweat, and not only in summer, but in winter too. Feeling relieved that I was not the only one I surfed the web to find any possible remedies for this.
In addition to wearing 'secret' underarm protection pads, which are in my opinion too much of a hassle for everyday use, you can certainly do a thing or two to stop the nasty sweat outbreaks. First, you simply have to remove your underarm hair on regular basis, because it keeps sweat and 'helps' it develop an odor.
More importantly, you can use your antiperspirant wisely. And when I say wisely, I mean put it on in the evening, after you're already in your bed, as some research shows that sweat glands stop working once we're laying down. Also, it's important to give your antiperspirant a chance to start working (which means swelling those glands up a bit), so just put it on the night before. My favorite antiperspirant is definitely Dove Original Clean, because it smells great.
In the morning follow up with a spray antiperspirant (I recently tried Fa Dry and am pleased with it for now), and that's it. Since I started the night antiperspirant routine I have noticed I have less 'accidents'.
Tell me how you deal with sweat, outside the gym that is.
