Soft tresses
Filed in archive Beauty on January 17, 2006

It may come as a surprise to you, but this winter's soft tresses are not at all difficult to make yourself.
All you need is freshly washed hair, blow drier, hair iron (Sedu ceramic flat iron gets great reviews), hair mousse (I like VO5) and some hair spray (try Aveda for long hold and shine) to finish.
The procedure goes like this: dry your hair completely, and then iron it section after section to get the sleek, straight look. Take rather small portions of hair, apply some mousse and twist the lock around your index and middle finger, up to 2/3 of the lenght. Blow dry and then let go. Repeat on the rest of your hair, spray with firm hold hairspray when done. (If your hair has its own mind, you can help yourself by clipping every tress rather than letting go. Remove the clips when you're done with all of it.)
It takes me around 30 minutes to do it (without washing and blow drying -- I would do that anyway, tresses or no tresses) and I have thick voluptuous hair. The tresses stay on long and are ideal for partying.
