Smokey eyes

I simply adore smokey eyes makeup on my eyelids, it makes my eyes look mysterious, deep and glamorous. Bonus of smokey eyes is that you can put only gloss on your lips and look really posh, without worrying that your lipstick will smudge!
Sadly, Smokey eyes are not really appropriate for the office, or for summer days for that matter, since that kind of makeup can look too dramatic and dark for the day – or are they really? The trick is to use other colors, which means stay away from the blacks, and try all other lovely shades of real color.
The technique is the same, the colors are not. My favorite ones are deep pinks (like Vincent Longo Autumn Rhythm) and browns (like NYX Aloha, Mink Brown and Deep Bronze). The only thing to remember is to get a matching eye liner for he maximum effect. I have also successfully made smokey eyes out of deep green, green and silver eyeshadow, but if you're new to this, stick to three colors of the same family.
