Sensitive skin

I don't know about you, but season changes affect my face skin very much. Especially this time of year my skin becomes irritated, dry, tight and uncomfortable, definitely more prone to blemishes. I suffered every fall until I discovered that a girl in fact needs to change her skin care with seasons.
After all the dehydration we put our skin through during summer, no wonder it Acts crazy once the colder season starts. I've discovered that my skin really gets better as soon as I start washing it with water only, following with a great moisturizer. At the moment I'm testing the Vichy Thermal Fix 2, and am already very pleased with the results. The best thing about this cream is that it is really hydrating, but it sinks in almost instantly and does not leave any residue.
Secondly, try to remove your makeup with lotion, milk or cream cleansers, and not soapy removers. I like NARS cream clenser, which doesn't tighten up my skin.
Last, I exfoliate only once every two weeks, which is enough to remove dead skin. As opposed to summer time, when I exfoliate even twice a week (due to heavy use of sunscreen lotion which clogs pores), twice a month suffices during colder season.
Try it out and let me know how it goes!

I am loving the Avalon organics line. They have a great facial moisturizer that smells so good. It is like and perfect for fall and winter. I also like their cleansing milk. All of their products are cruelty-free. I tried to comment on the post about the mobiles, but it didn’t go through, so I will add my comment here.I love the 7373 model. It is funny, as a teenager I hated pink, I guess it was that rebellious thing, but now I love it.
Thanks for the Avalon line tip-off Cindy. I’m willing to give it a try, but tell me first: does it have a strong smell? I don’t like my cosmetics to have a scent that lingers, it can clash with my perfume.
The avalon organics facial moisturizer is a bit strong. It has a lavendar scent, but the rest of the products are very mild.
Speaking of sensitive skin. There is a great story in the October issue of Vogue about this woman who had a horrific accident in the kitchen that left her with severe burns. Due to the effect of the damage she couldn’t venture outside without total SPF protection. Unable to find a moisturizer to meet her needs she went out and created her own. Anyway, if you get a chance read the article because if nothing else this woman has a pretty incredible life story.
