Repair fried hair

While big crocodile tears are rolling down your cheeks and your mind is virtually trying on every hat you own, remember that there just might be a cure.
Julyne Derrick from Beauty.About.com tells us about a recipe for fried hair that Jennifer Aniston's hairstylist invented:
Step 1: Mix in a bowl 2 tablespoons each of rinse-out conditioner, a leave-in conditioner, a deep conditioner & a hair mask.
Step 2: Comb the mixture through clean, damp hair making sure to focus most of the product on mid-shaft down to the ends.
Step 3: Wet 2 large towels, wring them out & heat one in a microwave for 1-2 minutes (depending on how hot your microwave gets the towel, you want it tolerable to touch, but steamy warm).
Step 4: Wrap hair up in the hot towel while you heat 2nd towel in microwave.
Step 5: Alternate wrapping hair in towels about 2-3 times.
This ultra-deep conditioner should be repeated once a week.
I haven't tried this remedy yet, but with as much trouble I had over the years with my very dry (and damage prone) hair, one thing I certainly learned: every product can only 'mask' the damage, and not repair your hair. And when the damage grows out, you'll have a head of shiny locks again.
One other thing I learned is that eggs certainly don't go on your head, no matter how much your mom or your friends recommend it. If you put an egg on hair that is warm from washing, it just might boil up, and if you recently dyed your hair blonde, you might end up with a greenish hue.
All of this said, try the deep conditioning Got2Be Intensive Hair Repair for blondes, I find it really good.
