Product review Tuesday: S'nonas hand cream
Filed in archive Beauty , Product reviews by Ivy on May 9, 2006

When I first smeared the stuff on my hands it felt weird, because I could see it sinking into my skin, but it left a sleek 'film'. It was as if I rubbed glycerin on, but after a minute or so, the film sank in too. My hands felt good, and after a week of use, they were literally reborn!
You see, I've always had trouble with dry skin on my hands. They got so dry after washing dishes or touching plain soap that my skin sometimes cracked, leaving small wounds which would bleed and hurt like hell.
S'nonas Crema healed it all, even made a small scar I got in an ironing accident
(I buy no crease clothes nowadays) go away. Unbelievable I know! The only downside of this cream is its smell, which isn't really unpleasant, only strongly flowerish. And yeah, it's kind of hard to get. But you can nag all your friends who're going abroad to get some for you.If you don't have any friends, you should really get some :), and if you just don't want to bother, try the Neutrogena hand cream. It's a decent substitute, but it takes longer to sink in. On the other hand, it's fragrance free and comes in a much smaller tube which is great to put in your purse. I found this one to be great for cuticles too.
From hand cream department, stay away from Dove. Although it smells nice, it does nothing at all, especially regenerate your hands! It takes ages to absorb, doesn't give you that moisturized feeling and those blue beads in it are disgusting. They look like small insect eggs (told you it was disgusting!), but are in fact micro pearls with shea butter. Well, the buggers just won't pop, and tend to get stuck to your nails or between your fingers, which looks horrid.
Hope this little review helped you. Remember, you can tell a lady by looking at her hands!
