Product review Tuesday: Eucerin deep pore purifying mask
Filed in archive Product reviews by Ivy on May 23, 2006

Every girl's nightmares include the one where her pores get bigger than life, and clog with unspeakable black gue. The truth is that you have to keep your face clean in order for your pores to stay normal. This is, of course, achieved wit proper face care routine, but once a week I like to cleanse my skin thoroughly.
And that's where Eucerin Clear Skin kicks in. Its Deep Pore Purifying Mask was the best I have ever tried. Although the Clear Skin line is new to the USA and you can't purchase the mask yet, I've been very lucky to get this one from Europe (the land of so much more skin and beauty products). You can also try to get testers at your local drugstore, so don't be a stranger!
The mask can be applied twice a week, but I do it only once and it works like a charm. All of my pores get cleaned up, I can't spot any blackheads in the mirror and the skin itself is - clean. All the blemishes and acne I might have are much less red, and tend to dry up in a day to disappear completely.
But, I must warn you that this mask is not so comfortable to have on your face for 15 minutes. First of all, people using Eucerin products should be aware of the fact that this product line is actually dermatological and it will not contain any perfumes. So the smell is something to get used to. Next, your skin might itch while you have the mask on. It's not very unpleasant, but for someone not accustomed to itching face skin, this could cause panic. You shouldn't get scared, imagining your skin is getting inflamed by the second and rub the stuff off, because this is quite a normal skin reaction.
While we're waiting for this extraordinary mask to hit our markets, may I suggest a fairly good replacement? Try the Biore Self-Heating Mask
