Product review: L'Oreal Exellence hair color
Filed in archive Beauty , Product reviews by Ivy on January 10, 2007

I have almost fair hair and dye it ash blonde. I choose ashy shade because it is much trendier than warmer, yellowier tones, and it makes my pale skin look better. There is a great shade chooser over at Clairol, you might want to check out which color suits you, although I wouldn't recommend using the Clairol hair color itself.
My favorite color is without a doubt L'Oreal Exellence Blonde Supreme in Extra Light Ash Blonde. Even though I used some less expensive or just different dyes (like Garnier and Clairol to name only two), I can assure you that you can't get much better that L'Oreal Exellence.
I love the fact that it comes with a pre-color cream treatment, which you smear on your hair in order to even out any dry spots, which in end lets you color your hair evenly. The color itself goes on easily, it does not drip and it stinks only a bit, which is tolerable if you ever smelt true hair color odor.
There is more than enough of color even if you have thick long hair like I do. Maybe it's because of the Protective Pre-Color Serum, but the color glides on and covers it all. Once I'm done the washing off is no trouble, and I like the fact that the conditioner provided is enough for three applications. And the color never lets me down.
If you're looking for a good almost luxurious way to dye your hair at home, you can't go wrong with L'Oreal Exellence in my opinion.
