Pop singer Christina Aguilera graces the January 2008 cover of Marie Claire magazine in all of her motherly glory. It's like a baby explosion in Celebrity Land: Jennifer Lopez and halle berry are also expecting their first children.
One of the great things about pregnancy is that for many women, beautiful things just happen due to hormones. Nails grow in strong, hair grows in thick and lustrous, skin just glows all on its own. Of course, some women don't experience all this, but instead suffer the whole nine months.
If you fall into the latter category (and don't have a bevy of stylists and beauticians at your beck and call like the rich and famous), don't fret. You can still do some things that will make you feel your best.

* Rest now because once the baby comes, you'll wonder what rest is. Even if you don't feel like sleeping, sit down and put your feet up on a pillow. Relax with a good book and juice or water.
* Don't forego the facials. You can give yourself a facial at home. If you like steaming, toss some rose petals into a basin filled with hot water, drape a towel over your head and let the steam work its magic for about five minutes. Follow with your favorite mask.
* Give yourself a manicure. Spritz some perfume behind your knees. Buy a new pair of gorgeous shoes; they might not be stilettos, but they can still be trendy.
Because pregnant women need beauty advice, too.
'Til next time, my pretties.
