One dress a day

. For me, the dress is the ultimate outfit. If paired with nice shoes and proper accessories, dresses are appropriate for any time of day and any activity whatsoever.I firmly stand by my point of wearing dresses as often as possible. Although you obviously wouldn't wear a dress for workout if your preferred fat burning activity is running, you might as well put one on when playing tennis. When you simply don't know what to wear, there's your trusted little black dress hiding in the closet. When it's so hot outside that the pavement is melting, your white, almost see-through-light dress keeps you from boiling up when eating a big ice cream strolling through the park.
See? Dresses are perfect. And because of my utter adoration for dresses, one of my favorite reads is Dress a Day blog, run by
lovely Erin. She writes about vintage dresses (don't you think women wore much more dresses decades ago?), and how to re-make them with those two hands of yours. Great designs and patterns, sowing dilemmas and fabric questions resolved.
But, my favorite part of Erin's blog is the 'Secret lives of dresses':
I didn't get hung up until the next day. It was odd to spend so much time off a body but not hung up. She always hung me up right away.
He hung me up, but put me way in the back of the closet, not near the other dresses I'd been by before. That felt strange. And then no one opened the closet for weeks and weeks.
Dress poetry, isn't it? There are four Secret lives of dresses stories right now, whish Erin would write some more.
