Oat can minimize wrinkles
Posted on 03 March 2006
I read in a magazine that oat and oatmeal can in fact minimize wrinkles, while making the rest of your skin beautiful!
While beta-glucane molecules from oat have been used for some time now to regenerate burnt skin (beta-glucane makes collagen produce faster), only recently scientists discovered that oat b-g can penetrate the undamaged skin too.
And that means collagen galore and wrinkle-less for us too! There's a downside to this news: because this oat wonder was discovered only recently, there aren't many oat beta-glucane beauty products out there. The ones I could find are BIO Essentials renew eye and lip cream and Laura Mercier Night Nutrition Renewal Creme. The other products that contain beta-glucane don't state where it came from, as far as I know, it could have come from the mushrooms, and that's not as effective.
Although I was never a big fan of homemade beauty products, I'm getting ready to try these two recipes to experience the oat miracle: Easy oatmeal face mask and Natural exfoliating oat scrub with essential oil.
