Not only for your thighs
Posted on 23 June 2007

Years ago there was a craze between my girlfriends, who swore to have mastered the art if getting rid of cellulite, using and obscure cinnamon cream one which-like lady made at home. Like anyone else I too gave into the craze and purchased a tub. It really did make my thighs red and itchy, but no more than that.
Today I'm a bit smarter and I know that cinnamon does not blow cellulite away, but smart scientists have discovered that cinnamon is in fact magic, because it diminishes the impact of sugar on our blood. Press TV reports:
"Researchers at Malmo University Hospital in Sweden have found that adding a little more than a teaspoon of cinnamon to a bowl of rice pudding lowered the post-meal blood sugar rise in a group of healthy volunteers."
This could do wonders for people suffering from Diabetes Type 2, but it's still too early to shout yahoo until more research is done.

Oh good! Rice pudding with cinnamon is one of my favorite snacks. I get the no-sugar-added rice pudding with Splenda and heap on the cinnamon. Not only is it delicious, but I have noticed that it is also a feel good snack (unlike a lot of other sweet snacks).
Meg, we can at last say: diet food which tastes great. I already started my grandma on a every-day cinnamon diet, since she has Diabetes type 2.
