Diet and Nutrition

MyFoodPhone is a new service for Sprint users which is designed to get you healthier and slimmer, presumably. The idea is that you take a photo of every thing you eat and send it to their nutritionist, who will give you a feedback to let you know you're stuffing junk into your mouth.
Moreover, the pictures will be saved to your personal (and username/password protected - thank God) part of the website, where you can make yourself feel even guiltier seeing the amounts of food you put in.
Although Shane apparently thinks FoodPhone is silly, I've heard even sillier things work. For instance, one of my friends refused to eat anything white and lost 10 pounds staying away from bread, milk, white chocolate and cheese. It seems to me that male people just can't grasp a concept of a woman being so determined to lose weight she eats cabbage soup all day long.
The truth is that dieters need either a lot of determination or a constant 'surveillance' if their goal is to lose some serious weight. If you're in the second group (and let's face it, who isn't?) you'll need a very good friend with a dark and scrutinish eye to keep you away from cookies and mayo. Or you can spend the $10 and try this one out.

It's a dumb idea. How will the dieticians be able to tell what is in the food just by looking at a picture. What if the restaurant poured 1 cup of lard in the pot of spinich. How much butter or oil was used to make the mashed potatoes? Better yet, what is hiding in that bowl of soup that "looks" so healthy. This myfoodphone cell phone idea is sure to flop.
