A Northern girl at heart, when it comes to the South, I'm really sort of...averse. I mean, isn't that the land of big hair, too much makeup and entirely questionable fashion choices? Sure, they have barbeque and mint juleps and that's enough to keep me going, but STILL.
I'm a big enough person to admit that last night changed my mind. With blogging friends Amber and Marina, I hit the NYC launch event (at justin timberlake's Southern Hospitality, natch) for Southern Beauty, a new beauty-focused lifestyle magazine that launched in late 2007. Maybe it was the Chambord Southern Belle cocktails or the entirely fab gift bag, but I was converted and after reading the latest issue I decree Southern Beauty a must read; this mag covers beauty head to toe, and it does so with a unique voice.

Plastic Surgeon Goes Green for Skin With Launch of New Organoderm Skin Care Product Line
