Mini dresses rule

Posted on 06 November 2006

One of my favorite bloggers, writing The Perfect Closet blog, recently discussed the appropriateness of a mini dress. Although I do agree that a gal is never too old for anything, which includes mini dresses, I myself prefer to wear them layered. And I hate to see a 'too short' mini, if you know what I mean.

Thanks to fashion gods, we can wear all the lovely mini dresses we want, over skinny jeans and leggings, as well as opaque tights. I am crazy over straight leg on the skinny side pants right now, so I am considering the following minis:

Mini dresses rule Topshop Flower Print Dress – Love the colors: green flowers, black background and subtle white dots. The dress has a belt and ruffled sleeves, sounds ideal doesn't it?
minidress_diesel.jpg Diesel Double V Kres Dress – This dress has graphic print and is posh enough to make you queen of rock. Love the cutouts on shoulders, and the front and back V necks are a really cool touch.
minidress_mossimo.jpg Mossimo Black Woven Pintuck Shirtdress – I really like the chocolate color and the sheerness of this dress. It's kind of romantic, but not girly.
minidress_bebe.jpg Bebe Knit Lace Shift Dress – Knits are quite hot this season, and so is this dress. Subtle pink will make you look younger, and will go great with gray and black items you have in your closet.
minidress_parameter.jpg Parameter Plaid Dress – It's simply my favorite, and should make you warm and cozy because it's made of wool. Although it's a bit longer than the rest, I think it would work with leggings , nice boots and a turtleneck underneath.

Well Emily, I don’t know many gals who would wear anything without a bra. I’m so used to wearing it I don’t even notice it.
