Max Factor Vivid Impact Highlighting Mascara-The Review
Filed in archive Beauty , Makeup , New Products by del on December 13, 2007
MAX Factor Vivid Impact Highlighting Mascara is brand new and just in time for the season. If you really want dramatic lashes, this is the mascara to try. It's a dual-ended wand, with a conventional color at one end and a highlight color at the other. I tried 24 Karat Brown; it's brown mascara with a gold highlight/topcoat. Other colors available are:
* Moonlit Black (black base/silver topcoat)
* Burning Bordeaux (brown base/burgundy topcoat)
* Blazing Black (black base/pink topcoat)
* Blushing Blue (blue base/pink topcoat)
To see the different dramatic looks, check out the MAX Factor website. If you want a preview of my results, I've posted them below.
This is my eye with no makeup. See why I love the eyelash curlers
?This is with mascara only. I didn't use the curlers at all and applied two coats. Pretty good, I think. With the curlers, I know my lashes would look even longer.
This is the mascara plus the highlights. After playing around with it, I thought the best look was a base of mascara with highlights on the tips of my lashes.
This is the magic wand, or the highlight end. Both brushes are the same and provide excellent separation while applying color.
I like playful mascaras like this for party wear, although you could still use the black or brown color for everyday. But for some reason, the idea of silver or pink lashes really appeals to me. First used at Dolce & Gabbana's 2007 fall/winter fashion show, MAX Factor Vivid Impact Highlighting Mascara is now available nationwide so check your favorite drug stores for a cool little addition to your party makeup.
'Til next time, my pretties.
