Magic Soap
Posted on 18 April 2010

If beauty is skin deep, it's important to keep your skin looking fantastic. I am, without a doubt, more obsessed with the health of my skin than with just about anything else in my world.
Do not laugh, then, that I am blogging today about soap. I shower every day, don't you? So what could be more important than choosing the right soap? There's a reason Dove has made a mint with their ads for baby soft skin.
I have nothing against Dove – I actually really like their soap, but I've been on this chemical-free thing for the last year or so and I'm feeling good about it. When I discovered Dr. Bronner's soaps, I was actually relieved because going chemical-free was also making me very broke.
I hate soaps with sharp edges. A shower soap should be smooth, so it rolls in your hands. And it should smell nice. Yes – that's important to me. And it shouldn't cost $12.00 a bar.
So Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps fit the bill. They smell nice, are all-natural, and they don't dry my skin. Best of all, they're available not only at Whole Foods, and all over the Internet, but at Trader Joe's for very cheap. Love that.
