You see, my mother works at court, and they've recently engaged some new security measures, so every employee had to be photographed once again. As vain as she is (where did you think I got it?), my mother called an urgent consultation brunch with her resident makeup expert - that would be me.
The thing is: my mother does not have real dark circles around her eyes (she rests enough, uses proper skin care routine and wears sunscreen), but rather shadows, which make her eyes look a bit hollow. She masks this really successfully with a tad lighter Concealer than her skin color. BUT - here comes the problem - this works great, until she is photographed. Thanks to the delights of modern digital photography, her eyes come out surrounded by white-gray skin.
So, armed with a camera we hit the local drugstore, and helped ourselves to a couple of their concealer testers. After a couple of snapshots we discovered that if you want to hide almost-dark-circles successfully when being photographed AND do not want to look like a freak in real life, you should buy yourself a peach color concealer (for fair complexion). My skin is more rosy, so I need a dark orange concealer while my friend with olive skin tone needs a yellowish hue.
There you go.
