This is an interesting strategy their doing with Herbal Essences. Sales have been way down and it is clearly an attempt to turn the brand around. How things change, 4 years ago it was the hottest hair care brand around.

We did a post on our blog about this recently. Basically, P&G changed many of the formulas and made them the same as Pantene (except for color and fragrance of course). Just look at the ingredient lists on the back. They even have the same patent number at the bottom.

It's a great formula but don't expect it to perform any different than Pantene.

I would add this. There's too much information here, so let's boil this formula down to the active ingredients - the ones that actually do something to you hair that you can feel. That means we'll eliminate botanical extracts that don't do anything, fragrance which smells good but doesn't do anything, preservatives, etc

Maybe is the same formula as Pantene, but if the price is the same too or lower i don't see why not buying it, especially when a part of the profit is donated to that "Give Kids the World" organization.
