Have a perfect manicure!
Filed in archive Beauty on January 27, 2006

Well, a lot can be said about a girl by just looking at her nails, and everybody hates looking at chipped nail polish on unmanicured nails. But hey, chipping happens to every girl, especcialy if you do your manicure sloppy. For a great guide and some additional tips and tricks on polishing your nails, read and learn by heart this nail care guide.
There are a couple of ways to go when searching for a best possible nail polish. One is to go for long lasting nail polishes, which should keep your nails tidy for at least four days. With these, you should be careful not to move for at least 10 minutes after polishing your nails, as long lasting nail polishes tend to dry really slowly. You can speed this up by placing your digits in a bowl or ice-cold water for 30 seconds.
Sometimes you just don't have the time to give your nails the care that they deserve. This is why quick dry nail polishes were invented! Just paint them on and you're ready to roll. But beware: as much as they save your time, quick dry nail polishes are not your best solution. They tend to chip in a day or two, so you'll have to do them more often.
You don't even have time to use the quick dry? Then remove any nail polish that's left and use a buffer to get your nails in representative shape. If you can manage, splash a high gloss top coat on.
Remember, full color is in for nails as much as it is for lips. So don't be afraid to go for your favorite shade of pink.

Thank you for these fantastic tips! I was getting really annoyed by the fact that I can never seem to get the right nail color and shine that I'm looking for.

The manicure is a very important issue in a girl social life.If your doing your manicure yourself, after your final coat has dried, hold each nail under really cold water for a few seconds. This 'freezes' the varnish and helps to stop it chipping.
