Going Too Far: Plastic Surgery

I am sure that at one point, almost every American has had Heidi Montag flash across their TV screen. Whether it was her role on The Hills, I'm A Celebrity (lol) Get Me Out Of Here! or her now Frankenstein appearance: it's happened. This star is hungry, and not just for food. Heidi is one of those attention starved wanna-be celebrities that just doesn't seem to be doing anything right lately. After ten plastic surgeries in 3 months, this woman has made it impossible for herself to do anything, even hug somebody!

Plastic surgery is no joke, and is as common to celebrities (even the wanna-be's) as gossip is to us normal people. Whether it's a quick face lift or bumping the girls up a size (or in Heidi's case: ten) it happens on a regular basis. But just how much is too much? Heidi Montag provides a great example of lunacy: she had ten procedures in just three months. That is so extreme, and on the day of her photoshoot for US Weekly, she had a back scraping. What the hell is a back scraping? Well, Heidi doesn't know either.

A lot of times, when people undergo serious cosmetic plastic surgery, it is to fix minor flaws. But just as common, they overdo it. The quest for beauty becomes an addiction, and eventually leads to a more deformed image than before (i.e. Joan Rivers, Victoria Beckham, and almost anybody else with big boobs). More often than not, patients who undergo one procedure return for more operations. They just can't keep their hands out of the cookie jar!
