Going Commando?

I was just waiting for a day when someone will decide that NOT wearing panties is the new fashion. I really can't see why someone should wear a skirt (or a dress) and leave their underwear at home, but it seems like Britney, Paris and all other so called stars are more influential than common sense.
I mean – you could be subjecting your privates to who knows what (dirt, bacteria, viruses…) if you wear a skirt but don't wear panties.
But, as Sarah from my favorite blog The Beauty Brains puts it, there is a point for not wearing panties with really tight jeans – "Thongs are great for getting rid of VPLs (Visible Panty Lines), but the thong sticking up above the waist line is not a look that I care for. So, that leaves no other choice but to skip the panties entirely." – and recommends using a clever little product called Go Commandos Panty Free Patches.
I agree completely, because I would never, even if risking VPLs, wear a clothing garment without underwear (mkey, intimate dinners with DB are another thing 
, because it just sounds yuck.
On the other hand, if you really are a sane person, and are not thinking about going commando because of the celebs, why not try seamless laser cut panties? I have quite a few of those and am really satisfied.
