Girls just want to have fun

The title song by cyndi lauper is THE best song ever made if you ask me. Round the middle of the eighties, when I was just a little girl :) Girls just want to have fun was so popular that you had to know the words, or you were considered an outcast.

If you're wondering, the wonderful Cyndi won an Emmy back in 1984, and sold her So Unusual first album in over 9 million copies. Back then, she was a fashion icon, in the true sense of the word, wearing outfits, makeup and accessories no one would dare, turning them into the most sought after items. And you know what? Cyndi Lauper is still making great music, so check it out on her official website.

But Girls just want to have fun is still my very favorite song. I have it on my iPod, in my mobile and on my computer. Every time I want to relieve some stress, during workout or when I get fed up with everything, I play it out loud and sing along - really loud. Try it out, I know you know the words:
