Fight cellulite
by Ivy on July 19, 2007

My Orbitrek and I have been friends for ages, the device has moved with me from one apartment to the other. When people ask me why don't I get a stationary bike my answer is simple: why on Earth would I want to sit on my bum, the troublest of all trouble areas on my bod?
Also, even though running, or running on a treadmill, is a nice exercise, I do not think my ankles, hips and knees should suffer such impact force. With Orbitrek I get my arms going too, which maximizes the training effect.
The thing that amazes me is that ten minutes a day suffice if you only want to keep your current fitness level, and if you want to really burn calories, and get rid of cellulite, you should invest at least 30 minutes every day - with results visible in three weeks. Trust me, I went to the gym, run with my friends, played tennis like a maniac and did pilates, but nothing got my but cellulite free and my thighs flab free as fast as Orbitrek.
The only thing one could possibly object when exercising on an elliptical trainer is that it is boring, but there's a simple remedy to this: place yours in front of a TV, and save your favorite show for exercise. I usually watched Ugly Betty or Eureka, but now it's Star Track reruns on DVD - which made me remember how gorgeous Chakotay really is.
And while I'm thinking of things I want to do to my favorite Star Trek officer, check out the different elliptical trainers out there - I tried only Orbitrek, but I hear that almost all of them are quite similar.

I totally agree. I love my orbitrek. I lost 40lbs a few years ago, and have been able to maintain it without obsessively watching what I eat by doing the elliptical for 20-30 minutes about 4 times a week. I do it while I am watchign TV...so I can exercise and indulge in a guily pleasure at the same time!

It's great to know other people have positive experiences with orbitrek too. I'm an addict.
