Drink tea and keep pounds away
Posted on 21 May 2007

I love it when nature provides us with great tools to maintain a healthy lifestyle! The latest on my must try list is the Oolong tea, which has recently been proven a great help at keeping unwanted pounds at bay.
The Chinese Oolong website says:
"Polyphenol in oolong tea is effective in controlling obesity. Specifically speaking, it activates the enzyme that is responsible for dissolving triglyceride. It has been confirmed that the continuous intake of oolong tea contributes to enhancing the function of fat metabolism and to controlling obesity."
Further testing on humans has proven that merely drinking this tea twice a day decreases thickness of the subcutaneous fat and also lowers cholesterol.
As I quite like tea I think this is a great idea. I am not expecting miracles, but I have never tried this particular kind of tea, so I'll give it a try. Only hope it tastes good chilled, with ice cubes. If you're wondering where you can get the tea, check out Adagio, one of the nicest online tea shops I've ever shopped from.
And yes, I would strongly advise all of you not to buy into fad diet teas that seem to be over flooding the market. As someone's mother used to say – if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
