Dare to be Different in a Hat

People just don't wear hats anymore. That's a shame because few things conjure up glamour like kitten heels, red lipstick and the perfect hat. I think a lot of us feel self-conscious about it because since no one else is wearing them, we can feel the odd woman out if we show up in one. But isn't that what fashion innovation is about?

What if coco chanel had decided to blend in with what was going on in fashion? She wouldn't have been any different from everyone else. But by daring to be unique and individual, she revolutionized the way women dressed.

Dare to be Different in a Hat

If you want to be a style innovator and forget what everyone else is doing, don a pretty hat. Not a skull cap or a baseball cap, but a bona fide ladies hat. If you're hesitant about this because you don't know what looks good on you, Viva Woman has a great post about finding the hat best suited for your face shape.

See? No more excuses. You don't need a special occasion or a special dress to wear one either. Hats aren't only for church or weddings. Wear one just because you feel like it, just because you know you look cute in one. Who knows, you might set a few trends yourself.

'Til next time, my pretties.
