I recently attended an entirely fabulous beauty event in New York City, the CEW (Cosmetics Executive Women, that is) Product Demo. Every year, CEW crowns winners in several beauty categories and the Demo allows voters - like little ol' me - to actually test nominated products to determine who gets our vote. A few clear beauty trends emerged at the CEW event...here's a wee recap:

Green/Natural
Mass retailers such as CVS, Target and Wal-Mart are taking the cue from the prestige brands and adding natural care product lines to their assortment.

Technology and Beauty
Baked mineral technology, light-based anti-aging treatments, youth-molecules - the beauty industry is no stranger to technological advances
Cosmetic companies are teaming up with dermatologists and doctors to create cutting-edge beauty products

Stress Relieving and Revitalizing
Products meant to relieve stress, relax and revitalize the senses are growing in popularity
Ingredients such as chamomile, vanilla and lavender help ease the stress of the busy work day

Have you embraced any of these beauty trends yet?

Stay Beautiful!
