Buying petite jeans

Finding a perfect pair of jeans can be a troublesome chore, even if you are 'standard' size. Things get even more difficult if you're petite.
Buying jeans has become much more easier since we discovered Zafu, hasn't it? The Zafu denim gurus give great advice on buying out of the ordinary jeans – petite style.
First, you should check out your favorite jean designers for short inseam jeans. Many brands offer short lengths (7 for all mankind, Diesel and Levis among others), so this would be your first pick.
Next, you can get the too-long jeans and simply cut the length surplus. Just be careful to leave your jeans a bit longer (Zafu recommends about 1/4" from the ground with your heels on) to look taller. Avoid wide styles, keep your jeans skinny or slim. The cut should be straight, and if you prefer boot-cut, go for regular length flare, and cut off the wide part.

Wow, I’m surprised I never heard of Zafu before. The great Zafu is very wise, haha. I have a few “vertically challeneged” friends that could use Zafu’s advice.
