Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. With so many women battling this disease, it's all too easy for any of us to know someone with it. If you want to help raise funds to find a cure, you can do so while still being your beautiful best.

The news isn't all grim for women with breast cancer. If detected and diagnosed early, there is a 98% survival rate. This is why it's so imperative to do our monthly self breast exams.
One of my local television stations designates the 12th of each month as breast exam day. If you get into a regular habit of doing this, you could save your own life. It can be whatever day of the month suits you. If it's easier for you to remember to do it on the 1st, then mark the 1st of each month on your calendar. The day isn't important; that you do it on a regular basis is.
