My newest pearl in great weblogs necklace is The Fashionable Housewife blog, run by Sarah-Jean Ballard.

Although one could say this might not be the kind of blog that could grab my attention (not being a housewife and stuff), I couldn't pass this opportunity to introduce all of you to the very useful service Sarah is providing.

You see, it's sometimes difficult for the yet unmarried girls (like me) to imagine what it's like to have more important things - like household or children - to spend money on, so that your fashion and makeup budget is limited AND sometimes even nonexistent. The single girl can always skip lunch and live of stale cookies in a tiny apartment to save up for that amazing Loriblu satin sandals with Swarovski crystals, while a wife and a mother can spend what's left, if it doesn't have to be saved for some other thing.

Sarah and her Fashionable Housewife blog bring you just that: sales, bargains and coupons and a lot of fashion advice for young mothers and housewives (just love the Today's Outfit fixture).

I have come to the conclusion that the best way to teach fashion is to show you complete outfits so you can see what items look good together. You can then go into your own closet and find similar items to pair together and make your own fabulous outfit., says Sarah.

If you have kids, the last time you dressed in style was probably when you were in your 20's right? And who knows how long ago that was! (Don't worry, we'll never tell!), Sarah states her mission.

Although Sarah started this blog in May, it is very well kept and updated; you can usually find a couple of new posts every day, so there's always something interesting to read. I can predict great blogging future for the lovely Sarah if she keeps up with the quality and diversity of articles, and wish her all the best: You go girl!
