Beating smelly hair - neutralizing hair odors
I love summer, garden parties, BBQs with friends and family. The thing that I loathe is the smell my hair gets after barbecues, it seems my tresses sink in all the smoke of the wood and coal used, not to mention baking meat odor. The only way to get rid of the smell is to wash my hair. Or is it?

And although a 'real man', who cherishes sports, garlic bread and vintage cheese, would in fact find it attractive for a girl to smell like a sizzling hamburger, I'm out of the market now and want my hair smelling nice :)

So, what to do? Apart from washing hair, which is a bore sometimes, especially if it's really late and you have to get up early in the morning, there are some tricks which can make the odor disappear, and leave your hair fresh smelling.

For one, my best friend Maja swears by Ted Gibson Styling Hair Sheets. She really is a party animal, and can survive with three a hour sleep each day. Well, Maja always makes sure she has at least one TG Style sheet in her bag, and has been known to go to work (in a science institute I mind you) straight from the after-party. The only thing she needs, as she puts it, is a quick shower, a change of clothes and a quick swipe through her hair with one of these (seemingly) magic sheets.

I tried this one after this Sunday's BBQ - my hair looks great, rather moisturized and shiny, and smells wonderful, but it does hurt a bit to pay $25 when a good shampoo costs only a fragment of that price.

Another acquaintance of mine uses CLEAN Fresh Hair Fragrance almost on daily bases, as her hair gets oily and sweaty rather quickly during warm season. She says it does wonders for her 9 to 5, and she was usually going crazy round noon, even though she washed her hair the day before. CLEAN does not stop the oiliness, but it betas the smell every time. This product costs $39, but I guess you get more applications out of it. Also, there are a variety of scents to choose from.

If you want your hair to smell just like your favorite perfumelinks, check out Scentsational Fresh Hair Fregrance Mist, which promises to soften and freshen hair up, while perfuming it with your fav designer fragrance. Last but not least, a fellow beauty blogger got a serious obsession for Tom Ford Luminous Hair Perfume.
