Fashion and Style

This reminded me that back when I was a child my grandma used to make me wear leggings under trousers in order to keep me warm during the harsh winter. And it kind of stuck with me (the purpose of wearing leggings, not the habit of wearing them!).
I know that some girls out there readily wear any supposed-to-be trendy outfit, but please don't make yourself a fashion victim.
Leggings are perfectly wearable when doing sports, exercising, doing housework or driving your kid to school (please, don't step out of the car). But, when you think about it, if you don't have the perfect model figure, the leggings are going to show it all - bony knees, possible cellulite issues or unflattering calfs, not to mention the tush muscles you swore you'll get in shape before summer.
Sincerely, I wear it when washing the car, and that's pretty much it. My philosophy has always been: Your clothes should make you feel comfortable, and confident about yourself. I mean, if the clothes don't make you beautiful, what's the point?
I know that the layering trend is on again, but could you please do it with tops? I know I will.
For the ending, a nice comment on the Gawker following the article about leggings. The poster, anita l., said: There's a reason that certain things go out of style. Ladies, stretch pants are not a right, they are a privilege. Wise girl I might add.
