Makeup artist favorites Make Up For Ever were gracious enough to invite me backstage to a few fashion shows this season. The brand has long supported emerging, young designers and this season was no different with artists lending their talent backstage at Lorick, Nary Manivong, Diego Binetti, Tamara Pagosian, Chocheng, Malan Breton (yes, of Project Runway fame) and...Jose Duran.

Lead artise Floriane David for MUFE created a romantic look for Duran's Spring 2009 collection. Inspired by the 18th Century, cheeks were the main focus with a bright pop of color. Make Up For Ever's Flash Color Pots were used on eyes and cheeks and colors carefully selected to complement the diverse models in the show. Eyebrows were penciled in and above, leaving a rougher, less finished (but still strong) look. Lashes were bare to avoid looking too polished.

Our fave element of Duran's makeup look was the fresh, healthy cheek. To get the look, check out the Flash Color Pot in Fuschia if you're fair or Coral for more olive complexions. Visit Sephora.com or Sephora stores to purchase.
