Are you up for shoe clips?

Reading the article about shoe clips on shoewawa.com (the shoe aficionados of the nicest manner) I really couldn't make up my mind whether I support the idea or not.
Little clip-on jewels are a great way of glamming up an old pair of shoes to give them a new lease of life, says the article.
I could imagine putting nice black and white polkadot bows on my classic black pumps, to sport the trend while not having to buy new shoes. But, clips like bling-bling butterflies seem a bit too much for me, although I can see some girls pulling it off with charm.
Also, I usually buy 'difficult to wear' and already poshed up shoes (like the wonderful Emilio Pucci dress pumps), so adding anything would only downgrade it, if you know what I mean.
Anyhow, let me know what you think and let me hear your experiences.
