I had a nice spring up till now, ugg free, girls wearing pleasant sandals and wonderful flats. Than all of a sudden, attending a new product promotion, I see this woman. I went completely nuts (and took her photo).
I mean, how can a woman with such a lovely posture and a fine dress wear ugly boots in CLASHING color? As my mother would say: Don't ever ask yourself why do people do stupid things, you'll only go nuts.
Yes, I understand that fashion sometimes takes turns we might not personally like (wedges, platforms, leggings). I know that a lot has been said and written about uggs, the appropriate wear of sheepskin shoes and celebrities going bezerk about these ugly boots over last few years, but I thought that no one would dare to wear them this spring too. I was apparently wrong.
I must tell you the following: Proper ladies do not wear uggs, except in winter with temperatures around freezing point. Under no exceptions do you wear fur boots during spring and summer. If you live in a country, where it never snows and the weather is always warm, you don't buy or think of uggs.
Don't fool yourself (like the pretty girl on the photo): you don't look nice wearing a short skirt and uggs. You only look ridiculous and starving for attention.
If you're looking for more reasons why to avoid buying (or to keep leaving locked in the closed) a pair of uggs, just visit Subset of ridiculous Los Angeles, and see what Malingering has shot with her trusty camera on streets of LA. Visit if you are up for a good laugh too.
